hmm..do you ever wonder if the silly policies and campaigns really work? i mean..the things with no monetary incentives..like the speak good english movement, the courtesy campaign. seriously..does the government hope for a sudden, mass change in the nature of singaporeans? that is..most singaporeans are rude, impatient and governed my money. singlish is a culture so many try to justify..but what's nice is less are justifying singlish..yay!!! baby step! (: also..what's so difficult abt respecting the fact that someone is waiting in line to be served? some ppl just butt in. even if it's just to ask a simple qn...it's still wrong. what is so impt abt your qn that it can't wait 5 seconds? seems a small deal..but shows a great deal abt the character of the butt-er in-er..
